Thur 28 May - Live Comedy Night

* HEADLINING ANDREW BIRD AND GORDON SOUTHERN *

OVER HALF OF TICKETS ALREADY GONE! Topping the bill is the effortlessly engaging Andrew Bird, who grew up in Towcester. He was the support act on Michael McIntyre's recent arena tour and has also supported Rhod Gilbert and Lee Hurst on tour, as well as performing internationally. Watching The Young Ones with his brothers as an eight year old, at two in the morning on Comic Relief, he realized then that he wanted to be funny in some way. With his personal appeal and superbly crafted, funny anecdotes, he enthrals everyone.

Gordon Southern is the international word clown. A stand up favourite across Europe and Australasia, he’s performed in over 30 countries. He is also one of most critically acclaimed comedians at the Edinburgh Fringe, having performed over a dozen solo shows there. He is a regular at many top clubs including the famous London Comedy Store. Gordon made his Edinburgh debut in the highly respected Comedy Zone in 1997 and has since gone on to take up several successful and acclaimed solo shows which have been nominated for awards in Edinburgh, Dubai, Perth (twice) and New Zealand (twice). He has enjoyed sell out runs at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival from 2011- 2015. Gordon also has a time out comedy award from his days with BBC Radio 4’s Cheese Shop comedy sketch team. As an MC he’s played all over the world including a residency at Edinburgh’s notorious “Late N Live” since 2011.

Support act is Lindsey Santoro, who has been active on the Midlands comedy circuit since 2014, following a comedy course. She made the semi-finals of the BBC New Comedy Awards in 2016 and describes her style as a mix of the down-to-earth and the madcap.

The evening will be compered by the Mill's resident MC, Pete Teckman.

Hand-stretched wood-fired pizzas will be available from High 5 Pizza outside the Mill from around 5pm-8pm. Order on arrival.

Over 18s only. Please note some material by comedians may be of an adult nature. Acts are subject to change.
