Thurs 30 May - Live Comedy Night

Topping the bill will be Stephen Bailey who is a comedian, presenter, actor and writer, Stephen Bailey is a proud northern, working class, gay man. The multi award nominated star’s indecorous brand of gossipy humour has singled him out as one of the UK’s most sought-after talents for comedy and entertainment formats. As well as being a prominent talent on the UK comedy circuit, he has also supported the biggest names in stand-up, including Katherine Ryan, Jenny Eclair, Jason Manford, John Bishop and Sarah Millican. Stephen’s credits include Live at the Apollo (BBC Two), The Stand Up Sketch Show (ITV2), Roast Battle (Comedy Central) and much, much more!

Opening the night will be Nick Page who, in the last few years, has won the prestigious title ‘English Comedian of the Year'. In his shows there are no songs, props or padding, just stories packed with jokes from start to finish. The Guardian Newspaper described him as ‘ A bear like man with a host of barely believable stories about life, love and brushes with the law’. He has performed at comedy festivals in three continents and been awarded the Operational Service Medal by the British army for numerous gigs in warzones, doing everything from shows in Camp Bastion and Kandahar for 5000 troops at a time, to being helicoptered to perform for 20 soldiers in a patrol base in the desert. He’s also reached the live finals of Britain’s Got Talent despite having never watched the show!

Support act will be ‘Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year 2015’ Tom Little with his unique way of delivering his cleverly crafted jokes.

The evening will be compered by the Mill's fabulous resident MC, Pete Teckman, who recently won the Not So New Comedian of the Year 2023 award!
