Sam Avery AKA The Learner Parent. Friendly and enthusiastic, his observational style instantly puts audiences at ease allowing him to regale them with his tales of everyday life. Sam has gained a reputation for being able to spark the dullest of rooms into life with his warm, infectious humour and quick wit.  He performs stand up comedy on the national UK comedy circuit and did his first stand up gig in 2003 and have performed thousands of shows around the world since then as well as taking three shows up to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Sam also writes a blog about life as a twin dad - this has been featured in the national press and gone 'viral' around the globe, being translated into over 15 different languages. He was also approached by Orion Publishing in 2017 to write a book, 'Confessions of a Learner Parent' that has gone on to become a bestseller. 

Opening the night will be actor, writer and stand-up the optimistic and exuberant Laura Lexx, who has appeared on Live at the Apollo, with her delightfully funny take on things. She immediately charms the crowd with her quick quips and is happy to discuss anything. Her distinctive style is fantastically offbeat and hilarious, as well as both cheeky and charming, delivering even her sarcasm and irony with a sparkly grin.

Support act is Dave Bibby - winner of the Musical Comedy Awards Audience Favourite 2018. The evening will be compered by the Mill's resident MC, Pete Teckman.
