Thurs 30 Nov - Live Comedy Night

* HEADLINING KEITH FARNAN AND MIKE GUNN *

Topping the bill is Keith Farnan, an Irish stand-up who has appeared on BBC’s Michael McIntyre Comedy Roadshow as well as adapting his own comedy documentary for RTE, Money, Money, Money: Keith Farnan versus the Economy. In America, Keith has appeared on a new standup show, Live From Amsterdam, which brings together the best American and European comedians working today. He has performed as a stand-up all over the world, from Montreal to Amsterdam to Hong Kong. His four Edinburgh Festival shows have proved a powerful mix of the personal and the political and have sold out their runs at the major comedy festivals in the UK as well as the Soho Theatre and Royal Festival Hall in London.

“Brilliant, thought-provoking and laugh out loud funny” – TIME OUT

“Artful, satirical…with a lightness of touch and a hefty helping of roguish Celtic charm” – THE SUNDAY TIMES

Opening the night will be Mike Gunn who, in his early career, was supporting the likes of Jo Brand and Alan Davies and supported Lee Mack on his huge UK tour. He now headlines at all the top comedy venues in the UK and is rapidly reaching cult status on the circuit. He has performed internationally, taking his talent to Hong Kong, Ireland, Holland, Germany, Switzerland, New Zealand, and Saudi Arabia and to Australia at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, where he completed a five-week sell-out season. Mike has also taken two solo shows to the Edinburgh Festival. His first performance saw him adopt the character of a funeral director in his show ‘Good Grief’ for which he received rave reviews. His follow up show at the festival was the provocative show: “Uncut”. A departure from straight stand-up, this took a comedic look at drug addiction and recovery.

“One of the 10 leading stand-ups in Britain” – Independent on Sunday

“Mike Gunn will make you die laughing” – The Guardian

Support for the evening will be Graeme Collard who first tried his hand at Stand-up on the Jill Edwards Comedy Course in 2011. After starting out on Brighton’s new act circuit, Graeme now performs at clubs and festivals around Britain. Graeme is noted for his slightly off the wall laid back style which usually features a mix of observations and one liner’s. Recent accolades include finishing runner-up in South Coast Comedian of the Year 2021.

The evening will be compered by the Mill's fabulous resident MC, Pete Teckman, who recently won the Not So New Comedian of the Year 2023 award!
