Venom Spiced Mead

Often referred to as the 'Nectar of the Gods', this golden drink has enjoyed a resurgence in recent years, with the demand from people eager to buy mead reaching new heights. Did you know that next to gin, mead is the fastest-selling alcoholic beverage worldwide?

This spiced mead from Lyme Bay Winery is made especially for the popular rock band Bullet For My Valentine. It is a honey ferment flavoured with spice, hints of cinnamon and nutmeg for a tingling sensation and a bite of heat. Very moreish.

You can drink mead like a whisky or brandy in a tumbler, use a wine glass or mix your mead in a cocktail - the choice is entirely yours. You can drink it cooled, at room temperature or warmed up and is a great accompaniment to strong cheeses and full-flavoured casseroles.
