* HEADLINING PHIL NICHOL AND JONNY AWSUM * 

Topping the bill will be Phil Nichol, a Canadian comedian, singer-songwriter and actor. With a record-setting six nominations for the Chortle Awards’ ‘Best Headliner/Club Comic’, Phil Nichol is one of the most energetic and original performers on the comedy circuit. He began as part of comedy rock group Corky & the Juice Pigs, alongside fellow drama school students Greg Neale and Sean Cullen, The trio were nominated for the Edinburgh Perrier Award in 1993 (Nicol’s first nod) and were most famous for their song Eskimo. The group split in 1997 and Nichol focused on developing his solo stand up career, performing at the Edinburgh Fringe almost every year, culminating in a second Perrier nomination for his 2002 show Things I Like, I Lick.

​​Opening the night will be Jonny Awsum, an award-winning comedian who has charmed audiences all around the world with his high energy performance style and unique brand of musical comedy. After building his reputation on the UK comedy circuit, where he is a regular headliner and closing act, Jonny shot to national fame on Britain’s Got Talent. His TV performances won standing ovations and unanimous praise from the judges and went viral on the internet, racking up over 50 million views on YouTube. Following BGT, Jonny enjoyed a whirlwind 18 months including a sell-out five-star reviewed run at the Edinburgh Fringe, a starring role in his first pantomime, and tour support to both Lost Voice Guy and Tape Face on their hit UK theatre tours. In 2022, Jonny performed at the Glastonbury Festival, supported Jason Manford in arenas around the country and recorded his 2000th show for a new live album. Jonny regularly pops up on TV and radio. He has featured on BBC Breakfast, GMTV, BBC Radio 2, BBC Radio 5 Live and Absolute Radio.

Support act will be Louie Green, a Suffolk based, proud working class comedian who is taking the comedy scene by storm.

The evening will be compered by the Mill's fabulous resident MC, Pete Teckman, who recently won the Not So New Comedian of the Year 2023 award!
