The end of 2020 was not the best as we're sure you'll all agree, but it did end on a high note for the team at the Mill when we managed to pull out all the stops and launch a new ale, exclusively to members, on draught to take-away. And now, we're delighted to announce we have it bottled and ready for all to enjoy!
This ale has been brewed in honour of our new Steam Room which some of you may have visited in the autumn. The Steam Room displays a 1900s Towcester Railway Station sign which is on loan to us from Towcester Museum and which is directly above the rising steam from our brewhouse kettle. So it was the perfect name for this new beer!
At 4.5%, Steam Ale is a pale ale and has been brewed with the addition of Citra and a blend of other American hops creating great citrus aromas. It was well received on draught by all our brewery members and so we really do hope that by bottling it everyone can now enjoy it at home. Our next Click & Collect weekend will take place on Friday 5 February and Saturday 6 February 11am-2pm, so if you fancy trying this new ale then order online now!
