Tap Room

Welcome to our award-winning Tap Room! Housed in a 200 year old, beautiful, Grade II listed Mill, it is situated within the same building as our brewery.

We offer a selection of cask ales from our eight traditional hand pumps, mainly sourced from our on-site brewery. Our own ales are the freshest they can be, having been produced just a few feet away, and therefore always in the best condition. There is no draught lager in our Tap Room!

“A brewery tap is the nearest outlet for a brewery's beers. This is usually a room or bar in the brewery itself, though the name may be applied to the nearest pub.”

As well as our cask ale and guest ales, we offer a range of real ciders, Lyme Bay fruit wines, speciality gins, many of which are locally produced by artisan distilleries, alcohol-free and gluten-free bottled beers and other drinks and snacks you’d expect to find in a great pub. We ensure that many of our drinks are produced locally from the surrounding areas including Northamptonshire, Buckinghamshire, Leicestershire and Oxfordshire.

The Tap Room won CAMRA's 'Spring Town Pub of the Season' in 2023 and 'Pub of the Year for Northamptonshire, Leicestershire and Rutland' in 2017. Click here to see our Awards.

In early 2026 we gave the Tap Room a lick of heritage paint and some traditional pub ornaments on the walls. The aim is for a cosier atmosphere, in keeping with the Tap's 18th Century rustic charm, using vintage mirrors and historical pub memorabilia.

Our Tap Room was refurbished in the spring of 2022 following a Crowdfunding campaign to 'Raise the Bar'. Over £10,300 was raised in just five weeks, which led to a revised bar layout, complete with more lighting, more space and ultimately more efficiency for both customers and staff.

Open six days a week, you'll always be welcomed with friendly service so we hope to see you here soon!
