At Towcester Mill Brewery it's just four ingredients that go into making our cask conditioned beer - barley, hops, water and yeast.
When we first started brewing Towcester Mill cask beer in 2014 we wanted to establish three flagship beers, all completely different to each other, with their own unique style, flavour and colour. Mill Race, Bell Ringer and Black Fire, the first three beers, were born!
Since then we've developed an interesting and rather eclectic range of beers, some of which are regulars on the bar, as well as our seasonal specials and one off brews. Our beers range from a 3.8% amber session ale, Crooked Hooker, to our strongest 5.8% seasonal special, Winter Warmer. Today, all our beer is vegan friendly and available in a variety of different outlets from our own Tap Room, to a number of local pubs, restaurants and shops in and around Northamptonshire.
Our bottled beers are available in single 500ml bottles, four bottle gift packs, six bottle jute bags and cases of 12. Draught beer can be available in 20L polypins, as well as in 72 pint firkins for trade use or special occasions. We hope you like the selection below, and even better, we hope you like the taste. Cheers!

CORE RANGE
This beer has been brewed in honour of our Steam Room, which displays a 1900s Towcester Railway Station sign on loan from Towcester Museum and which is directly above the rising steam from our brewhouse kettle. It is a pale ale brewed with the addition of Citra and a blend of other American hops creating great citrus aromas.

Maius, the old English name for May, is a dark mild ale at 3.6%, brewed specifically because CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale) promotes ‘Mild throughout May’. Normally available in May.
SEASONAL
This thoroughbred chestnut red ale has been brewed with four malts and four hop varieties. It has been inspired by a Towcester horse taxi who became a Grand National winner in 1908. A truly winning combination! Normally available in April.
SEASONAL
A reddish brown ale brewed with a blend of malts gives this beer dark toffee notes. Combined with four hop varieties, it leaves a warming spicy finish ideal for the chillier winter months. Normally available from November - February.
We're always experimenting with new recipes and ingredients so check back here for updates on seasonal beers as they arrive.
