* HEADLINING MARKUS BIRDMAN AND DARRYL PURVIS *

Topping the bill will be Markus Birdman, who is a highly experienced, versatile and award winning comedian. He is one of stand-up’s most well travelled comedians, much in demand in the UK and all over the world, and one of the very first British Comics to have his own Netflix Special - Live in Amsterdam. He has written and performed thirteen Edinburgh Festival Solo shows, and toured Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, India, Pakistan, Scandinavia and throughout Europe, The Middle East and Far East. He has appeared on numerous TV and radio shows both in the UK and abroad and is co-writer on Jayde Adams’s 2020 Amazon Prime Stand Up Special, ‘Serious Black Jumper’. He often incorporates visual artwork and animations in his comedy performances, and has created numerous 24 hour murals as part of the comedian Mark Watson’s 24 hr Comedy shows, raising thousands of pounds for Comic Relief.

Opening the night will be Darryl Purvis, a Canadian comedian known for his quick wit and relatable storytelling. With a style that’s both laid-back and sharp, Darryl dives into everyday observations and unique perspectives on life’s absurdities, drawing laughs from audiences with his authentic, down-to-earth humor. Over his career, he has performed across North America, bringing his blend of dry humor and clever insights to clubs, festivals, and television. Darryl’s comedy has earned him a loyal following, and his easy-going style makes him a standout act in the comedy scene.

Support act will be Duncan Hart, who has quickly established himself as a popular act and MC for some of the most respected comedy clubs and promoters in the UK and abroad. Energetic, confident & hugely likeable, he exploits his tragic-comic life for every last painfully funny gag.

The evening will be compered by the Mill's fabulous resident MC, Pete Teckman, who won the Not So New Comedian of the Year 2023 award.
