Sun 19 Jan - CAMRA's 'Introduction to Beer Tasting' Course for Ladies

Interested in beer and want to know more about what you're actually drinking? Then why not sign up to CAMRA's 'Introduction to Beer Tasting' course - for ladies only - and learn more about how to taste beers and how to really appreciate them!

Northants CAMRA's (Campaign For Real Ale) Beer Tasting Trainer and National Beer Judge, Trish Savill, will be hosting this course here at the Mill, following a successful first course in spring 2024. The aim of the course is to inspire women to enjoy beer at a deeper level. The objective is that by the end of the course, participants will be able to:

  • describe how the basic ingredients of beer affect the flavour of beer
  • understand how a brewer alters and uses these ingredients to get the effect they want
  • distinguish between beer styles

Each participant will enjoy four thirds of a pint of Towcester Mill beer throughout the session - a traditional pale, a new world pale, a bitter and a stout - plus a pint of their choice.

This course will take place in the Turbine Room on the first floor. Places are limited so do book your place sooner rather than later!
