Topping the bill will be Nick Page who, in the last few years, has won the prestigious title ‘English Comedian of the Year’, performed at comedy festivals in three continents and been awarded the Operational Service Medal by the British army for numerous gigs in warzones, doing everything from shows in Camp Bastion and Kandahar for 5000 troops at a time, to being helicoptered to perform for 20 soldiers in a patrol base in the desert. A typical week in the UK might see performances in pubs and theatres before a weekend run at a comedy club. Between cruises and expat bookings he’s now performed in over half the world’s countries, and even kept busy during covid lockdown performing over 100 online gigs from a studio in his garage.

Opening the night will be George Zach, who last performed here at the Mill in 2022. George moved from Greece to study Biochemistry in Newcastle Upon Tyne and, in doing so, avoided joining the Greek army for his national service. He discovered stand-up comedy years later, his first gig being on St Patrick’s Day in a dark room above a pub in Newcastle’s city centre. Fortunately for him, it turned out that he had a grasp of the English language as well as a talent for the art of comedy and soon this “really likable comic” went on to play all over the UK and abroad at some of the most prestigious comedy clubs, such as The Comedy Store and Glee. He has also appeared at the Edinburgh Festival in the CKP LunchTime Special.

Support act will be Fred Barber, a stand up comedian and comedy writer from London whose themes encompass dyspraxia, addiction, and social alienation. He has performed all over the UK and Los Angeles and has written for major entertainment networks including Channel 4, BBC 3, and YouTube Premium. 

Completing the line up will be Will Scambler, a stand up comedian who has performed at over 250 gigs all over the country.

The evening will be compered by the Mill's fabulous resident MC, Pete Teckman, who won the Not So New Comedian of the Year 2023 award.
