Sat 12 Sept - Heritage Open Day: Town Heritage Walk

Interested in learning more about the history of the town in which we live? Then why not take this opportunity to meander through a time capsule of our town with a guide from Northamptonshire Walks, in honour of Heritage Open Days!

Starting and finishing here at the Mill, there are two start times to choose from - 12.30pm and 2.30pm. This guided walk will take you to places you have might have passed without recognising their significance in the town’s past. Plus, some of the people who left their imprint within the town, for example The King of Naples and Sicily and Charles Dickens. There are numerous hidden historical gems here in Towcester and this is your chance to find out more!

The walk is along hard surface paths and pavements, comfortable walking shoes are recommended. This walk will last around 1 1/4 hours. Distance approx 2 miles.

Numbers are restricted to 20 people per walk. Age 16+ please. Those under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Those participating do so entirely at your own risk. Please note you must register in order to attend as numbers are limited.
