BBC comedian headlines at the Mill

Funhouse Comedy returns to Towcester Mill Brewery on Thursday 30 May 2019 with a great line-up of top comedians.

Headlining is the spookily skilful spirit comedian, Ian D. Montfort, star of BBC1's sitcom Hospital People, an amazing deadpan pseudo-psychic who contacts dead celebrities. Having made a number of appearances on radio in 2013, he had his own series, ‘Ian D Montfort is Unbelievable’ on BBC Radio 2. With his jokes and quick repartee he engages everyone before starting to communicate with the ‘other side’. His incredible results leave his audiences gasping with disbelief.

Support comes from the amusing and friendly Scott Bennett, a finalist in last year’s English Comedian of The Year competition and runner up in 2014, who has recently supported both Michael McIntyre and Rob Brydon. This loveable rising star is a Yorkshire live wire with an undeniable no nonsense logic, who enthrals the crowd with his warm and engaging delivery.

Completing the line-up is the lively and enthusiastic Lukas Kirkby. Compere for the night will be the Mill’s resident MC, Pete Teckman, who has been crowned Silver Stand Up of the Year 2017 at Leicester Comedy Festival, an award for comedians over 40 years of age, with his mix of self-deprecating and observational humour.

All tickets are priced at £15 (incl booking fee) and can be bought here. Doors to the Malt Room bar open at 7pm, show starts at 8pm.

Topping the bill at the next comedy night in June will be Jonny Awsum and Dominic Holland. There will then be a break over the summer and Live Comedy at the Mill will return in September. Tickets for June’s show available now!

Towcester Mill is fast becoming known as a comedy venue in its own right as more and more acts line up to perform in the building best known for its ales. It joined forces with Funhouse Comedy in April 2017 to bring some of the UK’s top comedians, as well as the country’s finest rising stars, to Towcester.
