Brand new season of Live Comedy

The brand new Autumn/Winter season of Towcester Mill’s Live Comedy Nights launches at the end of this month!

Topping the bill on Thursday 26 September is Lloyd Griffith, a comedian, choirboy and an ‘aspiring’ goalkeeper. He recently supported Jack Whitehall and Rob Beckett on their respective sold out UK tours including dates at Liverpool Echo, Newcastle Metro, Manchester, Leeds and Wembley Arenas and Hammersmith Apollo. Lloyd had to extend his first UK tour into 2018 after the 2017 leg sold out and is currently on his 2019 tour All:Rounder. He recently fronted a show on BBC called ‘Can You Beat The Bookies?’ and he has been on Soccer AM on Sky Sports and co-host of FLINCH on Netflix. Other TV credits include 8 Out Of 10 Cats (Channel 4), Bounty Hunters (Sky), Comedy Central Live at The Comedy Store (Comedy Central), Roast Battle (Comedy Central), Drunk History (Comedy Central), Taxi To Training (BBC3), Football’s Funniest Moments (Sky), The Premier League Show (BBC2) and many more.

Opening the night will be Mandy Muden, the only woman ever to combine comedy and magic on the UK comedy circuit. She has appeared on numerous TV programmes including ITV’s ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ where the judges loved her and gave her a standing ovation, taking her through to the semi-finals; as well as ‘Celebrity Come Dine With Me’ and ‘The World’s Greatest Magic'. Her string of mad, disastrous tricks and ridiculous jokes leaves her audience in tears of laughter.

Completing the line-up will be the unique Alex Farrow, a former teacher whose nerdy material is based on observations surrounding the sciences of culture.

Compere for the night will be the Mill’s popular resident MC, Pete Teckman, who has been crowned Silver Stand Up of the Year 2017 at Leicester Comedy Festival.

All tickets are priced at £15 (incl booking fee) and can be bought via www.towcestermillbrewery.co.uk. Doors to the Malt Room bar open at 7pm, show starts at 8pm. There will also be hand-stretched wood-fired pizzas available from High 5 Pizza from around 5pm-8pm outside the front of the Mill.

Check out the website for details of this and the next three Live Comedy Nights for October, November and December!

Towcester Mill is fast becoming known as a comedy venue in its own right as more and more acts line up to perform in the building best known for its ales. It has joined forces with Funhouse Comedy since April 2017 to bring some of the UK’s top comedians, as well as the country’s finest rising stars, to Towcester.
