Celebrating two years of live comedy

It’s two years since Towcester Mill Brewery joined forces with Funhouse Comedy to bring live comedy to Towcester and the acts keep on coming!

Topping the bill on Thursday 25 April is Rob Deering who has appeared on the likes of TV’s Comedy Rocks, Sing If You Can and Celebrity Total Wipeout. He was also the only person in the history of quiz show, The Weakest Link, to win the show without getting a single question wrong. With his friendly self-effacing style, he fascinates his audience and then using his guitar, he gets them onboard with a unique mix of songs and idiocy.

Paddy Lennox is a stand-up comedian and actor. He has worked at The Shakespeare's Globe Theatre with Mark Rylance, slipped off this mortal coil in Holby City and been pulled faces in many television commercials across the EU. Paddy earns a crust on the UK Comedy Circuit and plays all the great clubs:The Comedy Store, The Glee Club, The Stand, Barnstormers and many other clubs. He lives in Hertfordshire and runs The Great Dunmow Comedy Club and The Laughing Bishops Comedy Club in Bishop's Stortford.

Completing the line-up is the amiable and modest Alex Hylton, who captivates the room with his mix of one-liners and laid back anecdotes.

Compere for the night will be the Mill’s resident MC, Pete Teckman, who has been crowned Silver Stand Up of the Year 2017 at Leicester Comedy Festival, an award for comedians over 40 years of age, with his mix of self-deprecating and observational humour.

All tickets are priced at £15 (incl booking fee) and can be bought here. Doors to the Malt Room bar open at 7pm, show starts at 8pm.

The next two comedy nights – for May and June – are also now online and headline Ian D Montfort, Scott Bennett, Jonny Awsum and Dominic Holland. Book in advance now!

Towcester Mill is fast becoming known as a comedy venue in its own right as more and more acts line up to perform in the building best known for its ales. It joined forces with Funhouse Comedy in April 2017 to bring some of the UK’s top comedians, as well as the country’s finest rising stars, to Towcester.
