Dominic Holland headlines June's Comedy Night

Looking for a Father’s Day gift with a difference? Fancy seeing four comedy acts all in one night? Well the next Live Comedy Night at the Mill could be the perfect night out!

Opening the night on Thursday 27 June will be Perrier Award Winner, author, broadcaster and comedian Dominic Holland, father of Spiderman actor Tom Holland. He has made numerous appearances on radio and TV including ‘Have I Got News For You’, ‘The Clive James Show’, ‘The Royal Variety Show’ and ‘Never Mind the Buzzcocks’. His talent for spotting people’s eccentricities and mixing in the fine-points make his observations quite unique and his appealing stage persona has the audience immediately entranced.

Topping the bill is the hilarious Jonny Awsum, who appeared on ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent 2017 and cajoled Ant and Dec into joining his audition! Starting out as barman at The Chuckle Club for eight years he then decided to take to the stage. With his guitar and musical parodies he amuses his audiences charming them with his warm and friendly persona, his style of audience participation is second to none. He has presented for Sky Sports, been warm up act for 'Big Brother' and 'Loose Women' and also starred in several adverts.

Completing the line-up is the unique Mark Row, who hails from Milton Keynes, with his funny anecdotes and genuine insight into the education system!

Compere for the night will be the Mill’s popular resident MC, Pete Teckman, who has been crowned Silver Stand Up of the Year 2017 at Leicester Comedy Festival.

All tickets are priced at £15 (incl booking fee) and can be bought here. Doors to the Malt Room bar open at 7pm, show starts at 8pm.

June’s comedy night is the last one before the Mill takes its annual summer break over July and August. September’s comedy night will be held on Thursday 26 September and headlines Jeff Innocent and Mandy Muden. Booking will open at the end of June so keep an eye out if you’re interested!

Towcester Mill is fast becoming known as a comedy venue in its own right as more and more acts line up to perform in the building best known for its ales. It has joined forces with Funhouse Comedy since April 2017 to bring some of the UK’s top comedians, as well as the country’s finest rising stars, to Towcester.
