Towcester Mill Brewery will be brewing something other than beer on Friday 27 September when it hosts an event as part of Macmillan Cancer Support’s World's Biggest Coffee Morning.
The Coffee Morning is being held on Friday 27 September between 10am-12pm at the Brewery down Chantry Lane. All are welcome to come along and enjoy plenty of tea, coffee and cake and raise vital funds at the same time for the growing number of people living with cancer across the UK.
Sam Milthorpe, events manager at the Mill, said everyone is welcome, “As a brewery we are used to brewing, but this year we thought it would be a great idea to make a brew of a different kind! We all know that cancer can affect anyone so that’s why we want to help raise much-needed money for people living with cancer. We’ll have plenty of tea, coffee and cake available so do come along with friends or on your own; a warm welcome is guaranteed and you won’t leave hungry!”
Macmillan is almost entirely funded by donations and simply cannot support the growing number of people with cancer who need them without the public’s help. Every two minutes someone in the UK is diagnosed with cancer. There are over 2.5 million people living with cancer in the UK and this is set to grow to almost 4 million by 2030.
