“Cheers!” as Towcester Mill Brewery opens new shop at Bell Plantation
Towcester Mill Brewery is celebrating the official opening of its new shop at the Bell Plantation garden centre this week, less than three years since it opened its brewery and tap room in the heart of Towcester.
The new shop, which is open seven days a week during December, will stock all Towcester Mill’s beers, as well as some seasonal favourites such as Santa’s Tipple and Winter Ale. Not only will customers be able to purchase a wide variety of beer products from single bottles, gift packs, mini casks and beer boxes right up to a 72 pint Firkin, they will also be able to relax and enjoy a drink in the shop!
David Williams, director of Towcester Mill Brewery, said the launch of the shop was an exciting time, “We thought about moving the shop from our brewery site at Towcester Mill to another location about a year ago, and the opportunity at Bell Plantation was the perfect solution. Not only will customers be able to buy our beer, but they will be able to drink it here as well, as we have three hand pumps on site. We also offer the ability for customers to take draught beer home with them in a range of container sizes from 1-40 litres. Opening this shop means customers can now pop in to buy great beer at times which are more convenient to them.”
An exclusive members evening was held on Thursday 1st December to coincide with the Bell Plantation’s grand opening, where the members were able to try the new Winter Ale for the first time. “Buying someone an annual membership to the brewery makes a great Christmas gift,” added David. Brewery membership offers a host of benefits, including 10% discount off shop and tap room purchases, free brewery tour for two, branded polo shirt and exclusive members evenings.
The shop is located at the Bell Plantation garden centre and is open Mondays to Saturdays 10am-5.30pm and Sunday 10am-4pm during December. As well as its own beer products, it also sells Towcester Mill Brewery branded items as well as speciality wines and spirits.
Towcester Mill Brewery was established in 2013 and is now brewing at least three days a week to keep up with demand. The 200 year old mill houses the popular tap room which is open daily and offers a selection of eight cask ales brewed on site and a range of ciders.
